Story
The year is C.E. 70, the 70th year in the Cosmic Era timeline. Feburary 11th. The Bloody Valentine Incident causes tention between the PLANT and the Earth Alliance. A war soon breaks out. People were confident that the Earth Alliance would soon be victorious because of their large numbers. Despite predictions however, the war has dragged out for 11 months, with both sides taking heavy casualties.
The neutral resource satellite, "Heliopolis" is suddenly attacked by the ZAFT's MS unit. The reason: to steal the Union's very first mobile suit developed by the Atlantic Union. The "Gundam".
The sudden attack is successful and the ZAFT managed to acquire four "Gundam" units.
A young college student by the name Kira Yamato is suddenly thrown into the battle, when he comes face to face with his best friend, Athrun Zala.
It is a sad reunion covered in blood.
Before Kira knows it, he has made Athrun and the Coordinators the enemy!
Athrun is ordered to fire at Kira!
1 against 4. The battle of Gundam vs. Gundam begins.
